New Guest Registration

Are you and your furry friend new to 4-Legged Friends? Welcome to the family! Dogs and cats have slightly different registration processes, so choose your pet below to get started.

Registering Your Dog

We can’t wait to meet your pup. Start by filling out the registration form and sending over their current vaccination records. From there, we’ll reach out to schedule their free assessment before their first daycare or lodging visit. The assessment gives your dog a chance to meet our team and check out their new surroundings. And it gives us a chance to see how they do with group play. Once they’re approved, you’ll be ready to book future visits online.

Registering Your Cat

Our feline friends skip the assessment. Simply fill out the registration form, upload their current vaccination records, and contact our team to arrange their stay.

What to Have Ready Before You Fill Out the Form

Before you start, gather your pet’s current records and make sure they meet our enrollment requirements.

For Dogs:

  • Age: New canine guests must be between 12 weeks and 12 years old. For pets over 12 that haven’t previously stayed with us, we recommend considering in-home care instead.

  • Health Testing: We require a negative fecal test and a negative heartworm test once your dog is old enough.
  • Spay/Neuter: Dogs over seven months old must be spayed or neutered.
  • Registration Information: Have your dog’s basic information and any important care details handy when filling out the form.

For Cats:

  • Age: New feline guests must be between 12 weeks and 12 years old. We recommend in-home care for new guests over age 12.
  • Rabies: Cats need a current Rabies vaccination once they are old enough.
  • Spay/Neuter: Cats over seven months old must be spayed or neutered.
  • Registration Information: Complete the feline registration form and upload your cat’s current vaccination records before making the reservation.

What to Expect After You Submit

Once we receive your form and records, we’ll review everything and help you with the next steps. For dogs, that means scheduling the required assessment. For cats, you can contact our team to arrange their lodging reservation.

First time visiting? We’ll make sure you know what you need before your pet comes through the door.

Someone Is Here Around the Clock

Our facility is staffed 24/7, so pets staying overnight aren’t left alone once the doors close for the evening.

What Metro Detroit Pet Parents Are Saying

Our furry guests may not be able to leave reviews themselves, but their families have plenty to say. See what Metro Detroit pet parents think about the 4LF experience.

“I absolutely love this place and truly would not trust anyone else with my little guy! Benny has been coming to daycare here for several years and I have never had an issue with the facility or the staff. They have always given honest and real reports regarding his play and behavior. My Benny is severely anxious and I always worry about him (is he being nice to others, is he having fun, is he making new friends, is he being respectful to staff members and vice versa). I have been to other daycares/boarding facilities that do not even come close to 4LF and what they offer. I live an hour away and will still make the drive to 4LF because I don’t trust anyone else. I know my Benny is no rockstar or VIP kinda guy, but Jen has always made me feel he is loved and cared for which eases my heart when I’m away. Thank you Jen and all the 4LF staff! 🐾💙🐾”

-Jenny K,

“This is the best place around. They take great care my fur kid. Lola has so much fun.”

-Jenna B.,

“This is the second time we have trusted 4 legged Friends with our loved furbabies. They are consistently wonderful. Babies come home with the same temperament, smelling good and happy. Will continue to use their amazing team to care for our babies when we are away.”

-Sherry S.,

“Webcams are a nice option. My dogs received baths and are very clean and super tired. Came home, ate dinner, and collapsed. Thank you, 4 Legged Friends!!”

-Jon B.

“The staff are outstanding, they noticed a possible problem that I should be aware of it, to keep an eye on it. He looked and acted very happy from his stay at 4 Legged Friends Daycare.”

-David E.

“My dog loves coming to 4 Legged Friends. When we get out of the car, he runs to the door and knows where he has to go to get to his play area. Every staff member remembers his name, and they have a webcam to peek in on how he is doing.”

-Michelle T.

FAQs

No need to introduce us twice! If your pet has stayed with us before, you can skip the registration form and head straight to the client portal for your next reservation. Need help getting into your account? Give our team a shout.

Dogs need Rabies when age-appropriate, DHLPP, H3N2 Canine Influenza, and Bordetella, along with the required negative fecal and age-appropriate heartworm tests. Cats need an age-appropriate Rabies vaccination. Our checklist above includes all requirements to review before you hit submit.

Then it’s our turn! For dogs, we’ll review everything and contact you about scheduling their free assessment. Cats get to skip the meet-and-greet, so once their paperwork and vaccination records are in, you can contact us about their stay. Before long, we’ll be getting ready to welcome them in.
