Lodging for Dogs

Dogs enjoy socializing, but they also need a quiet haven for downtime and sleep. Guests at 4-Legged Friends enjoy both! 4-Legged Friends’ overnight dog community is furnished with spacious accommodations and elevated beds. First-time overnight guests must complete an enrollment form at least 24 hours before booking their reservation. Temperament tests are done by appointment only, and a passing score allows your dog to enjoy fresh air and supervised play in our daycare groups.

Dogs who do not enjoy socializing with other dogs are welcome too! But must come in for a meet and greet as well to be sure they will be comfortable away from their person, friendly with the human staff, and content in the lodging setting. For the safety as well as physical and mental wellbeing of everyone at 4LF, we do not accept dogs who are dog or human aggressive, barrier aggressive, or particularly stressed in a lodging environment.

Dog Lodging Details, & Pricing

New enrollments must be between the age of 12 weeks and 12 years old.

4-Legged Friends’ boarding guests older than six months must be spayed or neutered with current vaccinations, including Rabies, Bordetella, DHLPP, negative Fecal test and negative Heartworm test. The H3N2 Canine Influenza vaccine is strongly suggested but not required at this time. All dogs must pass a scheduled temperament assessment 24 hours prior to their first visit. Assessments will determine if your dog will enjoy daycare or not during their stay.

The earlier you drop off, the more time your dog will get to play, resulting in a more relaxed night. This day of play is included in your nightly rate.

On the day of check-out:

Dogs picked up before 10:00 AM will incur no additional charge

Dogs picked up between 10:00 AM and 1:00 PM will pay the half-day daycare rate

Dogs picked up between 1:00 PM and 7:00 PM will pay the full day daycare rate

Lodging for Cats

4-Legged Friends’ cat community, Haight-AshPurry, is furnished with custom-built condos that meet the special needs of your feline friend. Ceiling-high condo’s offer the height and views cats crave with full window views. With a special reservation, your cat can sprawl out in Tabby-road, one of our five large indoor personal rooms—complete with webcams and room to roam.

*Please note that we are not accepting new cat lodging clients that need medication administered during their stay.

Cat Lodging Details

Please do not check your cat in later than 6:00 PM.

Because we are often full for cat lodging; On the day of check-in, we suggest cats be dropped off between the hours of 1:00 & 6:00 PM, and check out between 7:00 AM & 12:00 Noon. If you are unable, please know your cat may need to be moved or wait for a room to become available depending on prior and following reservations.
